Eastham Park Dog Park in Warren County: A Haven for Your Furry Friends
Nestled in the scenic Eastham Park of Warren County, the Dog Park sits where Luray Avenue meets the serene Shenandoah River in Front Royal. It's designed with every dog in mind:
- A 0.75-acre section specially tailored for smaller, older, or timid dogs.
- An expansive 1.90-acre space ensuring larger dogs have ample room to frolic freely.
This dog-friendly haven was realized through the joint efforts of Warren County and the Warren County Dog Park Association (WCDPA). The WCDPA, a dedicated 501(c)(3) organization, was initiated by dog enthusiasts keen on fostering off-leash recreation in our community.

2. Barking: Limit excessive barking. It can trigger other dogs and escalate energy levels.
3. Entrance Protocol: When using the double-gated transition area, ensure it's vacant before entering or exiting. This prevents both gates from being open simultaneously.
4. Initial Entry: Upon entering, move away from the entrance swiftly. This disperses the group of welcoming dogs and prevents your dog from feeling trapped.
5. Play Behavior: While playful wrestling is normal, monitor for signs of aggression. Dogs displaying overly aggressive behaviors should be removed for safety.
6. Consideration: If your dog's playstyle makes others uneasy, kindly relocate to a different park area or consider revisiting at a different time.
7. Children: Due to their natural reactions, small children and infants are not permitted in the dog park to prevent unintentional provocation of dogs.
8. Vigilance: Actively monitor your dog to ensure a positive experience for both of you. Always adhere to the park's posted rules.
9. Community Responsibility: Help uphold the park's standards. Safety and cleanliness are collective responsibilities.
